Can someone draw John teaching Sherlock how to tango and he’s giggling while the poor detective keeps on messing up the steps?

GUYS, WHAT HAPPENED IN THE SHERLOCK FANDOM

WHAT DID I MISS

WHAT DO YOU ALL MEAN BY THE CAST BREAKING THEIR OWN FANDOM

I am forcing my family to watch Sherlock

After seeing the first one, and I explained the homoerotic subtext and how everyone on the internet is flailing over Sherlock and John’s relationship, do you know what she said?

“What is it with people and their fascination with the relationships of everyone? It’s always ‘who’s sleeping with who, who’s dating who.’ I don’t get it!”

I just looked at her like, mom, you have got to be kidding me. This isn’t anywhere NEAR the same thing. But it was sort of difficult explaining.

“Well, they aren’t actually having a relationship in the show, I mean they are, it’s obvious, but it isn’t written— I mean, the writers have said that they enjoy including homoerotic subtext, so it is written, it just isn’t played that way, I mean. (dad inputs comment on how he noticed that they are constantly having to explain that they aren’t in a relationship) Yeah! See, the writers think it should happen. But they don’t really go in that direction. I mean they do, but they don’t. Anyway, we’re all fascinated by the relationship and completely obsessed with it— (mom again complains about people’s obsession with the actor’s relationships) BUT IT ISN’T THE ACTOR’S RELATIONSHIP IT’S THE CHARACTERS. WE DON’T CARE ABOUT THEIR SOCIAL LIVES AS ACTORS AS LONG AS IT HAS TO DO WITH GETTING IN OUR PANTS WE’RE JUST ADMIRING THE RELATIONSHIP SET UP BY THE WRITERS”

So yeah. Mom wasn’t buying it.
